Devastating for Cork on so many fronts.A huge supporter of local businesses.Claire loved everything about the The English Market and often referred to it as her larder. This decision was made with a very heavy heart.Really feel for the Nash19 restaurant gallery and wine shop team.

Eoin English Nash19 restaurant gallery and wine shop is a huge loss
Also a driving force behind the iconic Long Table dinners, a huge advocate of local food producers & artists.
Claire volunteered a great amount of time to support the betterment of the city.
A super person who will hopefully go on to other great things.

CBA Cork Nash19 restaurant gallery and wine shop Eoin English The closure of Nash19 restaurant gallery and wine shop is a huge loss to the city - both as a epicurean heaven without peer in the city and also given the civic leadership & charisma of Clare Nash.

Both champion servants of Cork City.

The best of luck to all involved going forward.

Another superb piece by Michael Moynihan in yesterday’s Irish Examiner

I’ve always shouted it, but we shape our cities through our spending.

Buy your running shoes in a shop like John Buckley Sports not a UK franchise who don’t even know where Eire is.

Are we rebels or sheep?

In tribute to the Tung Sing, Cork's historic Chinese restaurant, which closed last weekend, I've recreated the first dish I ever ate there, Sweet and Sour Pork Hong-Kong style.
It sparked a love of food that I've never lost.

Thank you to Irish Examiner for giving me space to write about why restaurants are closing and why we should be concerned.

Restaurants are more than businesses, they are where we laugh, celebrate and mourn.

They are not too big to fail, but they are too important.

Wonderfully put Liam.Mrs Lee kept family and business going even after the tragic loss of her husband. She also assisted chefs and staff in opening their own restaurants. We were also very appreciative of there custom during very lean times.
