Rishi Sunak £240 million already paid to Rwanda.
Another £50 million for 24/25
Similar annual fee PLUS a “processing fee” for each person sent of around £100 000.
Never mind the legal fees trying to push ahead with this madness.
What a waste of money. It’s criminal.

And in a moment it was done:

2014
PA leadership asked 135 Physician assistants if they felt their title should change from Physician's assistant to Physician Associate and 135 agreed.

This title change was inflicted on 65 million UK people by the leadership of 135 PAs.

A question to ask GMC in their consultation given that some universities like Buckinghamshire New University have only a single GMC registered doctor on faculty. The rest? PAs teaching PAs gmc-uk.org/pa-and-aa-regu…

Join our demo outside the Royal College of Physicians this Thursday, let them know we won't be fobbed off with fake Doctors.
Bring banners, placards, union flags, drums, whistles
This has been kept quiet far too long, let's make a noise!

Steve Taylor Full Fact They deliberately closed hosptls, left staff on low pay, failed to keep up tech & maintenance specifically to build 'business case' & 'demand' ie waiting lists, for separate 'hubs in the community' which can be run by private providers, w a monopoly & are miles away to travel to

Oh my Lord. I cannot believe this is for real.

I have really had enough of this PA project now, and I am becoming more and more concerned. This patient could easily be one of my parents or grandparents.

PAs are dicing with death, and patients are the victims.

It MUST stop.

Mrs C Patrick Mackle Agree

They need to make the role redundant

Apologise to the PAs who’ve wasted time on it & give them compensation/voluntary redundancy

They do it in the NHS to other roles

Will be worth it to protect t patients & the NHS

Patient safety has to take precedence over PAs careers

Joanne McGinn Askforadoctor Le Jacques de toutes les parades This would be a huge probity issue for them. As an academic physician if I had not declared share ownership in, and being a director of, a company that directly benefitted from my academic work I would be fired. It is that simple. Royal College of Physicians has a lot to answer for.

If ARRS roles were so advantageous over GPs, then practices wouldn’t have to be coerced into hiring them!

There is NO LOGICAL REASON to prohibit practices from using allocated funding to hire GPs

There is NO evidence that replacing GPs by ARRS staff benefits patients in any

Chris Hopson You are replacing doctors who got in to do medicine Oxford/Cambridge/Imperial/UCL/Barts/ and who have studied for years with people who have 2.2s in sociology from local colleges and a 2 year dodgy PA course. These people are claiming equivalence with doctors. It is a disgrace!

Came across this picture & it had me reflecting on the importance of recognising how many years of training it takes to reach the “level of a Day 1 Consultant” or GP when discussing pay & scope of practice.

There is no alternative to these years for this knowledge.

A chemistry A Level takes 2 years

Those who complete a chemistry A Level aren’t chemistry specialists

You cannot be a specialist in anything after a 2 year course

Stop gaslighting doctors with extensive training, that a two year course is equivalent to anything.

Utter bollocks.
What about the GPs who are currently out of work now?? Why not start by employing them?
Your “capacity” will go up overnight.

The GMC do not even follow their own guidance

They set standards then bulldoze right through them

They do so by attempting to disguise their nefarious money-making scheme (PA regulation) with flowery inclusive language

We need a concerted effort to
