Jason’s managed to get some fascinating stuff out of Micky Greaney.
As he says, it’s a remarkable story, one which culminates (for now at least) in the upcoming release (finally) of his second album “And Now It’s All This”.

With Bandcamp waiving their charges to artists this Friday - starting in 7 hours and 20 minutes at 8.00 am UK time - it’s a very good day to especially benefit your favourite artist by buying their work.
It’d be cool if Micky was one of those artists.

I got a message end of last week:
“I bought this record at Josey Records in Dallas, TX yesterday for my daughter. She’s actually turning 17 today and is into collecting records. Are you the person who put this together?”

Proper centre half.
As a young teenager, he was our next door neighbour in Bubbenhall.
Have vague memories of him & his team dressing as women for a charity match in the village.
Didn’t he have one of the longest ever gaps between England appearances Jim Brown?

Matt Worley’s punk & post-punk fanzine epic ‘Zerox Machine’ is a book I loved editing. Described as ‘definitive’ by Simon Reynolds, with great endorsements by Liz Naylor, Mark Perry, Steve Ignorant, Nicholas Bullen, john robb and Mike Scott. In bookshops soon.
