1/2 Our recent Classics Symposium also featured Cambridge Professor Tim Whitmarsh with a lecture on Aristophanes' comedy, The Frogs. The talk explored themes of shifting identity, from the god Dionysus to the poet Aristophanes himself.

2/2 The play showed Aristophanes' ability to tackle serious issues and to make the audience laugh with slapstick. The A Level syllabus asks students to quote classical scholars and we are very lucky to be able to hear so many of them in person!
