Melbourne, currently the most polluted place in Australia. Thanks to ForestFireManagement and residential wood burning. It’s time to phase out dirty polluted ways of heating! Adam Bandt what are the greens doing to stop this pollution? Or do you think it’s ‘green’? Environment Protection Authority Victoria

Now 3 consecutive days of high levels of hazardous smoke for millions of Victorians- and no end in sight with more planned burns scheduled

I was forced to be in this air with my daughter for hours at a community planting day we’d scheduled weeks ago

WTH⁉️🆘❌🔥

2 solid days of high particle pollution from wood heaters & planned burns smoke across a city of millions of people, and beyond

What levels of harm is this causing?!

Think twice before lighting up. We’re not talking cigarettes. We’re talking woodfire smoke.

Smoke from wood heaters is a major source of air pollution during the cooler months. If you can, choose an alternative way to heat your home.

No sign of clean air it’s been days now of smokey conditions. There is no safe level of pm 2.5 pollution. Environment Protection Authority Victoria what are you doing to protect us? Stop these planned burns and regulations for wood heaters need to be changed! We shouldn’t breath toxic air all autumn/spring

Good to very poor. I only see 4th day straight of very poor. Relying on the rain to clean up but not until tonight. Let’s hope the weather predictions are more accurate than the epa! Pic 7am air quality

During a hazardous 4th day of no clean air, the epa still having technical issues. This happens every planned burns event. What does your system even do if it can’t let citizens know of these pollution events ? Check purple air for real time air monitoring!

ABC Melbourne the air quality is toxic inside&out due to smoke from planned burns. This is so dangerous for everyone, esp. people with illness & respiratory disease. News on the health impacts of the smoke needs to be told. We cannot keep our heads in the sand while others suffer.

Day 2 of poor air quality in Victoria. Was planning a long bike ride but will have an asthma attack if I stay outside for any length of time. Environment Protection Authority Victoria air watch is mostly inoperable so I have to rely on Purpleair sensors for information.

Day three of toxic air in Melbourne, Environment Protection Authority Victoria airwatch still not online, no warnings to public! Hold ForestFireManagement to account and record what they are doing! Too many fires no fresh air for days. This WILL be causing health effects to many! Pm2.5 pollution there is no safe level!
