It was fantastic to return to Better Health Network in Parkdale today with Tim Richardson MP to see the amazing transformation of this facility thanks to investment through our Government’s $265m Metropolitan Health Infrastructure Fund (MHIF).

A great day opening the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital redevelopment. With more beds, upgraded operating theatres and recovery spaces, Victorians now have even more access to world-class care, treatment and research.

The Regional Health Infrastructure fund has invested more than $790m into projects across regional Vic since its inception, including $2.1m to upgrade this disused theatre at Orbost to perform endoscopies, saving locals trips to Bairnsdale and delivering more care closer to home.

The Allan Labor Government supports Aboriginal health in Aboriginal hands. It was a privilege to visit Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association and Lake Tyers Health & Children's Service to hear about their excellent work caring for community and helping to close the gap.

Great day on the road. The team at Kooweerup Regional Health Service are doing a fantastic job providing, amongst other things, care closer to home for local seniors, as well as supporting new parents and bubs through their Early Parenting service

Community input means patients receiving chemo & dialysis will have plenty of natural light at the new Phillip Island Community Hospital due to open early 2025. With a focus on urgent and ambulatory care the service will deliver more care closer to home across the Bass Coast.

Whether it’s meeting young tradies like Chloe or physios and OTs like Jake and Will it’s great to know our record investments in healthcare are providing great jobs and career opportunities for young Victorians.
