Last stop on my tour through the southeastern states: #NorthCarolina . I talked to decision-makers, civil society, students & companies how to create jobs & opportunities through the expansion of #solar & #wind energy & how to strengthen resilience against the #ClimateCrisis .

In #SouthCarolina I talked to people who work hard everyday to drive forward the #CleanEnergyTransition & to build up resilience against the #ClimateCrisis . Conversations like these give me hope that we’ll be able to transition fast enough to avoid the most devastating impacts.

I talked to South Carolina Public Radio about our strong economic relationship with over 200 🇩🇪 companies active in #SouthCarolina & how to expand our cooperation to drive forward the #CleanEnergyTransition to create jobs & opportunities and to enhance resilience against the #ClimateCrisis .

Today I talked to decision-makers, civil society & businesses in #Georgia how we can learn from each other & work together to drive forward the #CleanEnergyTransition so that it brings jobs & opportunities to local communities and makes our societies stronger & more resilient.

Record #renewables added in 2023, but not enough to meet COP28 🌍 RE goal. REN21 - Renewables Now highlights lack of finance & high capital costs in developing countries as major hurdles. REs must replace fossil fuels faster as energy demand rises. Key challenge we need to address this year.
