We're back in court for Day 2 of the Trump hush money trial, and day 2 of jury selection.
Madeline Halpert and I are reporting from court for BBC News (World).
While they only questioned a handful of jurors yesterday we did get some standout moments like this one:

Dow Jones colleagues throughout the world stand with The Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich. This Friday will mark one year since his outrageous and wrongful detention by Russia. We’ll keep telling Evan’s story until he can tell his own. #IStandWithEvan
New York:
>Mitt Romney, the GOP's 2012 nominee, on the prospect that Biden and Trump may not end up debating:
“People always find excuses for why they don’t want to debate. But you got a couple of old guys that don’t want to have people see how old they are.” apnews.com/article/trump-…
I spent ten years at the Los Angeles Times, with the last four in the D.C. bureau. erin b. logan and Courtney Subramanian are fantastic journalists and wonderful colleagues. Hire them as fast as you can.
My timeline is full of really great journalists who got laid off from the Los Angeles Times today. It’s gutting.
If you have a job opening, you’d be smart to hire Nick Baumann, Courtney Subramanian and erin b. logan, among many others.
What a loss for the Los Angeles Times.
I worked with Courtney on the WH and on 2020. She is a brilliant journalist (fast, full of good ideas, able to get people to talk) and an excellent colleague. Be smart: Hire her.
Courtney Subramanian Los Angeles Times Last year while traveling in Zambia with VP Harris, I recall sitting in a van waiting for Courtney.
She was busy conducting her exclusive interview w Harris, which led to this great piece. latimes.com/politics/story…
Hard to see why the LAT let her leave.
