Champions of Peace-Kenya joined other Civil Society Organizations in a public participation on Kisumu County gender and equality bill held at YWCA-Kisumu.

Through collaboration with NCTC and support from Dutch Embassy, CoP-K held County Engagement Forum Quarterly Review Meeting in Homabay county.The stakeholders drawn from the pillars reviewed the County Action Plans so as to realign with the revamped NSCVE.

Through collaboration with NCTC Kenya and support from Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs 🇳🇱 ,we held County Engagement Forum Quarterly Review Meeting in Migori and Vihiga counties,concurrently.The stakeholders drawn from the pillars reviewed the County Action Plans so as to align with the revamped NSCVE.

CoPK Programme Director and Officers from the National Counter Terrorism Centre paid a courtesy call to the office of Vihiga County Commissioner. They deliberated with the Deputy County Commissioner, present, on revamping of CAP so as to align with revised NSCVE.

I learned a lot today with Kenyan peacebuilders from Champions of Peace Kenya, Search for Common Ground & Women In International Security. Among many topics, we discussed the critical role of women in fostering dialogue and resilience across communities and borders in the Horn of Africa. -AAW

Today, in partnership with MATHARE PEACE INITIATIVE KENYA and other Civil Society Organizations in Mathare Constituency, Nairobi, we supported the build up activity to International Women Day which is held in 8th March each year: Women Empowerment, Gender Equality, Social Justice,Women Rights.

Violent extremism is a threat to globall peace and security with a ripple effect on other segments of Sustainable Development Goals 1-17, especially goal 11 which emphasizes on sustainable cities and communities.

Violent Extremism (VE) is a threat to peace and tolerance globally, it is not enough to counter but we must prevent it. COP-K joined the international community and Kenya in commemorating the 2024 International Day for The Prevention of VE.

CoPK was pleased to be part of Peace Clubs Walk in Kakamega County. In line with our vision towards a secure ,peaceful and stable communities- the Amani Walk was geared towards building cohesion among learners.

Our Programme Director paid a courtesy to Nairobi County Commissioner, Mr David .S. Wanyonyi. This provided an opportunity to introduce NiPi project we are currently implimenting in 25 counties in Kenya, Nairobi County amongst the targeted regions.
