Shel Morningstar 🌊🐢🌻💚🌊🐢🌻💚 Tony Corsentino It turns out you can have nice parents, be successful, have a 'good' adoption, feel 'secure' as a person, and still want to search. It's an entirely reasonable thing to do. Millions of people call this genealogy and find it a delightful hobby.
“In my research on domestic adoption, I spoke with dozens of women like Evelyn,” Gretchen Sisson writes.
“Evelyn’s journey, however moving, is not representative of what research reveals about how people make decisions after being denied abortion care.” wapo.st/4aPt5pI
Really sick of the pathologizing of adopted people who want to know the most basic information about their own origins. As Dr. Lisa Munro has said so well, genealogy is considered a delightful hobby unless you’re adopted. Then you are deranged, ungrateful or “insecure.”
