A pleasure discussing the EU Institute for Security Studies Chaillot Paper on EU 🇪🇺- 🇮🇳India relations chapter on #MaritimeSecurity today.

On 13 March, the 🇬🇷 Frigate “HYDRA” as part of EUNAVFOR ASPIDES and providing protection to a merchant ship, opened fires against 2 UAVs posing an imminent threat to the freedom of navigation. The action was effective in avoiding any damage to seafarers and merchant shipping.

It was a great honour meeting 🇮🇹Vice Admiral De Carolis in Brussels last week. Marina Militare is a strong contributor to🇪🇺 #MaritimeSecurity operations.
