Despite occupying spaces with positivity & community activities decreasing instances of violence, Commanders routinely deny permits & police residents gathering. They are strictly against joy on certain blocks, for certain people. This isn’t a crime strategy it’s power & control

Judicial endorsements and appointments are highly political for this reason specifically - to protect the powerful. In NYC we might as well be the federalist society fan club.
