Taking place in 10 Office of the Chief Executive NHSScotland Emergency Departments in partnership with DataLoch, the study found that a new way of measuring troponin could reduce future heart attacks in at-risk patients by 10% after five years.
The study was funded by British Heart Foundation and published in The BMJ.
Perhaps detecting all those non-ACS troponin elevations is benefitting our patients after all...?
