Many of our visitors come to the Library to see where Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx would meet to discuss their revolutionary ideas. Follow Dean Kirby, PhD to find out about tours around Angel Meadow, close to the Library, which was once a slum dubbed ‘Hell upon Earth’ by #Engels .
