Over the years I’ve lost two friends, one Palestinian and one Lebanese, and nearly lost a third, a French cameraman, to the willingness of IDF soldiers to open fire even though they knew perfectly well who they were. But they felt sure their superiors would protect them.

Gaza airdrops may be well-meaning but, as the tragic deaths in the sea show, they are of little value if not counter-productive. Political gestures to assuage public sentimentin the West. Like the Anglo-US airdrops over Warsaw 80 years ago, wasteful and pointless posturing.

& thank you, Seth Meyers, for doing this. This deserves to be a national ad. I hope every late night talk show host & those in the media will do the same any time someone mentions Joe Biden’s age being the problem in this election. Bravo. A+. Share this, everyone. /End

Holy cow. Seth Meyers spent 90 seconds on his show last night reminding his viewers everything that Donald Trump has said I done & it is absolutely perfect. This is how it’s done & we need so much more of it. Watch & share this.

I had the privilege of studying Arabic as an external student at the Islamic University of Gaza. This is heartbreaking.

George Trefgarne Clearly they need to look at a convoy strategy.
Perhaps they should read Battle of the Atlantic written by Jonathan Dimbleby Before all the same mistakes are repeated.

Too much “business-as-usual” in Rishi Sunak’s remarks about the sub-postmasters this morning. He doesn’t get the scale of the national outrage. He should have announced Alan Johnson as head of new compensation agency, with all claims generously settled this year and bill sent to…

Well done ITV. It’s gone too far this and mentioning serial killers is quite simply incredible.

My daughters have watched Salford City with me for 10 years and like to comment on football, my mum was kicked out of the football team ( boys in the 1960’s) and stopped playing due…

BBC's 'Pick of The Year' at 12pm on Christmas Day on BBC Radio 4, has chosen an extract from 'The Bright Side of Life' in which my brother, the sculptor, Nicholas Dimbleby, talks movingly about living with MND and his belief in the right to die.

Thank you. My brother, Nicholas, has been deeply touched by the intensity, scale and warmth of response to what he has said about living with and dying from MND.

It is both morally wrong and unconservative to say that only the wealthiest can fall in love, marry someone and then bring them to the UK

Dignity in Dying Jonathan Dimbleby Thank you for the most moving and compassionate radio programme - sensitively done with clear love between you and your brother - needs to be compulsory listening for health care professionals, broaching difficult subjects in a most beautiful way

Thank you to Jonathan Dimbleby and Nicholas for having this important conversation.

With an assisted dying law, everyone could have more open conversations at the end of life - including those who choose not to use it.
