Local patch walk with Paul Stephens at Cwm Clydach, Pied Flycatchers, Redstart, Green Woodpecker, Peregrine, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Buzzard, Red Kite, Wheatear just some of the highlights and first Peacock butterfly for the year for me.

Early walk out to Sker with Neil Donaghy, 3 Whimbrel and a Barwit the highlights, single Golden Plover. Very few birds around.

A few miles on the local patch Mynydd Gellionnen after work, 2 calling Cuckoo, m+f Wheatear the highlights, plus all the rest,

Went to investigate the mass mobbing event this morning, to find a Tawny Owl sitting on the nestbox.

Put up in Jan 2023, it wasn't occupied last year so fingers crossed ...

Nice hour after work at SWP to see the Bonaparte and Little Gulls.

Breezy, rainy 8 miles on the patch. Lots of singing Blackcap, a few pairs of Grey Wag and Bullfinch added a bit of colour. Goshawk the highlight.

Couple of hours at Penclacwydd before the wind picked up.

Quick stop at Banc y Lord, small flock of Pinkfoot still here, handful of Swallow over the marsh. No sign of the Water Pipit.

Local patch walk after work, 2 Swallow, Kestrel the highlight, pretty poor otherwise.

Early walk out to Sker to see the Golden Plover. Nice to see a few Purple Sands, Turnstones.
