What a great morning at the Wellcome Collection, London for our BHVS spring meeting on core knowledge in heart valve disease.

A real multi-disciplinary meeting aimed at all members of the heart team. A fantastic two days of learning.

This is dreadful

What's really sad is there must be cardiologist(s) enabling this. If you've performed a major procedure & suspect a complication, why ask a PA to make the urgent call to radiology??

Yesterday we celebrated the publication of An African History of Africa.
My book is the culmination of over 7 years of travel, through more than 30 African countries.
Everyone is originally from Africa, and this book is therefore for everyone.

🤔, do clinical interventions have a ‘best by date’?

There is no such thing as “a sick note culture.” There is a record high NHS waiting list, crippling housing costs, widespread food poverty, stagnant wages and inadequate benefit rates, a broken social care system, dire mental health services, and closed Sure Start centres.
