Going to BMES? Traveling is hard enough, but many of our young faculty & trainees (often moms), are traveling w/ babies, sometimes for the first time, making the conference trek more challenging. I send good wishes to those faculty traveling w/ little ones! I remember those days!

What an amazing trip to San Antonio for #BMES2022 ! I was so honored to spend three days proudly waving the UW Bioengineering banner. We have an amazing team and we can't wait to help host the Biomedical Engineering Society in Seattle next Autumn for #BMES2023 .

Tenure package submitted! ✅ 5 years, 2 babies, and a whole pandemic later, it's been quite a journey! Feeling grateful and thinking about the legacy my mom started as the first in the family to go to college. I’m blessed to build on what she started. The journey continues!
