My current/former doc students are exceptional! I am beyond blessed to have them in my life. If you see them at #NARST24 , please show them some love.
Dr. Vanessa N. Louis Laura Peña-Telfer JusticeEjike
Last year, I received the #NARST Early Career Research Award. It brought me GREAT joy to celebrate Terrell Morton, PhD as this year’s recipient. He’s an activist scholar & deserving of this recognition. The future of science ed is more equitable & just b/c of his contributions #NARST 24
Congratulations to my dear colleague Dr. Renee Schwartz on this recognition for her excellent service to NARST and the science education field writ large.
I did something dope today by serving as the Guest Coach for Georgia State Panthers women’s basketball team. These ladies are tenacious, brilliant, talented,& full of energy. Thank you Felicia Tucker, Coach Gene Hill, & the entire coaching staff for this wonderful opportunity #EducationDay

Had a wonderful time sharing my journey into STEM Education with scholars at Mundy’s Mill Middle for @scienceatl’s hallway takeover project. They’ve installed posters for kids to see & learn about local STEM professionals who look like them 016.clayton.k12.ga.us/news/what_s_ne… Mundy's Mill Middle
Dr. Jemimah Young served as a guest lecturer for my doctoral seminar and stated - “When you continuously norm reference white students instead of the standard…white students become the standard”. Let that sit! #QuantCrit #NumbersAreNotNeutral Journal of African American Women and Girls in Ed

Doing anti-racist, equity & inclusion work in the sciences (& STEM) is hard, challenging, triggering…but it’s a must. We need to tell a different transformative and more truthful story to better support Black learners. REC Network
We are getting all the gems REC Network from THE Dr. Natalie King I’ve been citing King & Pringle, 2019 forever. Here’s a picture to accompany the citation 💁🏾♀️
Listening to Dr. Natalie King at REC Network think tank…reminding us to repeatedly retell that our history [as Black people] predates slavery. We come from a rich LONG history of brilliance in science, technology, engineering & mathematics in Africa pre-colonialism & slave trade.
