Good point. At the end of the day, they provide a fully segregated route from Edinburgh to Leith on each side of the road. The 'worst in the world' tag is laughable.

Improving the walk to (and from) public transport is such a no-brainer. But gets far too little attention, so good to see this briefing.

Well, there sure is a lot of confirmation bias in transport policy, on all sides! already established views. It's pretty dispiriting how few people are curious about evidence that doesn't support their already established views.

Why do these visualisations never feature older people?

Absolutely right to direct as much traffic as possible through WAR, rather than residential streets. But it's this that's the problem with the Haymarket filter for a '20 minute Dalry'...

These timescales are insane: two and a half weeks (inc. Easter) for organisations to prepare applications and budgets??
Doesn't do anyone any favours, and will result in unnecessarily poor applications and use of public funds... 😦

So while Scottish Government won't fund concessionary travel on the green, accessible Edinburgh Trams, it chooses to subsidise Highlands air travel to the tune of £40 a head??

First impressions: hugely disappointing that seemingly *not one word on taxis* - used by disabled people twice as much as non-disabled.
The Scottish Government's own statutory advisors Mobility & Access Committee for Scotland (MACS) called for #FFR to include a national Taxicard scheme to end the current postcode lottery.

Worth a read of this accessible and straightforward plan: good to see the emphasis on ensuring that disabled people's mobility needs are central to plans for greener travel.
