Very sad to be loosing Sarah Maxfield, but really looking forward to working with Rebecca Ball who will be based in our Newcastle office

We’re pleased to announce that Rebecca Ball, currently Chief Executive Sunderland Culture, will join us as our new Area Director, North, in August. Rebecca takes over from Sarah Maxfield who has been a huge advocate for culture for 14 years at the Arts Council and we wish her well.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Sarah Weir OBE a bold, passionate, kind and determined leader. During her time with us as Executive Director she helped shape the cultural Olympiad and Paralympiad into world-leading events. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

I shall remember Sarah as such a wonderful force of life and a great colleague. So sorry to hear the news of her death. The world will be a less interesting place without her.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our board member, Sarah Weir OBE. Sarah was a much-loved and highly respected member of the Clore Leadership board & will be hugely missed by staff & trustees.
