I worked with an FE maths teacher with GCSE re-sits. He charted the processes in this way, & found not only did the students understand more, importantly they also were able to pinpoint exactly where they were stuck. Self-assessment, metacognition and with growing confidence.

Use save! and update! in tests instead of save and update.
