The daughter of the late PC Sharon Beshenivsky has spoken to ITV News exclusively ahead of her mother’s killer’s sentencing.

Lydia Beshenivsky, now 23, told us “I would wish every day for my mother to be sat beside me now. Her memory to me is blank”.

Sharon was killed on Lydia’s fourth birthday. She never made it home for the party which she’d organised.

Speaking to ITV News, Lydia said: “I have been in the dark tunnel and had all them obstacles thrown at me, and that many that I thought I can’t do this another day.”
