I meet people who go weeks without leaving the house. Uber eats, work from home. Fiercely independent, lonelier than ever. We need each other. Let’s build a world where everyone feels embraced.

Courage lives in the gap between knowing and being. I meet a lot of very smart people who read articles, studies, and books about how to love yourself and others. Knowing is the first step to being. It lights me up to see someone slowly shift these love lessons from mind to body.

I hope AI shifts us into a society that values emotional labor over mental labor.

I use “labor” because community building is the most challenging work I’ve ever done.

Our next chapter will be led by good people who create spaces for genuine connection and fuzzy feelings.

Everything flows from presence. Good luck, genuine connection, true pleasure. Abundance of every flavor. The one prayer I hold in my heart for every person on earth: “Let’s all arrive in the present moment and stay there.” The most fulfilled people I know are the most present.

One of the biggest contrasts between young people and our parents: openness.

Young people are disconnected from the world because we choose the world in our pockets instead. Heads down. Headphones in. Blocking the flow of life with all our tech.

Low presence = low serendipity.

I think it’s very sad that people expect “child free” spaces.

I’m sitting at chipotle. The place is packed. A family with a newborn baby walks in, she starts to cry, and I watch as everyone glares at them in disgust.

How can we foster a village mentality?

There’s a biblical idea that speaking negatively about someone (even when it’s true) would cause the speaker to break out in a nasty skin condition. Patchy skin. Boils. It would even show up on their clothes and house.

I used to dismiss it as religious bullshit.

But I get it…
