💙🎉 so excited for this launch! A new psychology support tool, coproduced with psychologists/those with lived experience, is all about early intervention – thinking about how we frame our 💭 about #Type1Diabetes & helping to build resilience to manage this relentless condition

I have taken the (scary) step into the world of start up founder. My aim is to increase the diversity of people with lived experience getting involved in patient and public involvement opportunities. I am also going to use this platform to simplify PPI for health businesses

So amazing when we see people finding peer support so early into their diabetes story. At the JDRF UK event in Aberdeen yesterday we had someone who had been diagnosed with T1 3 weeks ago. Nothing fills my cup more than seeing the relief on their face finding their community 💙

Thank you JDRF UK for giving the T1 community in Scotland an opportunity come together. We are stronger together and it was amazing to share the mic with the fab Alyssa Faulkner and Hannah McCook

For anyone interested in exercising with diabetes Michael Riddell, PhD shares that the optimal blood sugar level to prevent hypos or hyper during exercise is 7.2mmol (130mg/dl)

Tandem users. My current Tslim pump vs the upcoming one. Due to be available in the UK in the first half of 2025.

It is a hybrid patch pump so can be stuck on the body but also has a short (5mm) tube to the cannula so it can be disconnected. What do you think? #dedoc #ATTD2024
