I saw an idea recently that I thought was lovely…public libraries that are open late every night so ppl can socialize, as an alternative to bars or sitting alone at home. Would be especially perfect for introverts to socialize comfortably and for older people who are lonely.

This is one of my very favourite photographs, I love everything about it. The movement, the music, I can hear it. The expressions on their faces...I could write a whole story from his alone. But I can't remember the photographer - can anyone help? 🖤

Flirting is intelligence at its peak because it’s the ultimate spontaneous social situation where you have to delicately balance humor, sincerity, & formality in order to explore unknown territories of conversations using cheeky cryptic language all while performing a vibe check

“Writing is a form of therapy; sometimes I wonder how all those who do not write, compose, or paint can manage to escape the madness, the melancholia, the panic and fear which is inherent in a human situation.”

A re-enactment of one of the most famous artworks of the Italian Renaissance has been launched at Trinity College Dublin. Raphael’s 'The School of Athens' depicts a gathering of 50 male philosophers, mathematicians, and scientists. But the new image has a striking twist.

I am 62 years old, single, and recently, after watching “Love Actually” for the 17th time — toxic though it may be — I downloaded a dating app and started the arduous process of vetting men so that I, too, might actually find love. Again. (a thread)

i’ll never give a fuck about the “romance book porn addiction” arguments because at the end of the day the genre is as popular as it is (and always has been) because women just want to read a book set in a world where men are nice to them. that’s literally it.

So delighted that our bookclub chose Evie Woods for this month. I was going to read it anyhow but now it'll be accompanied by a hearty banter, bags of Tayto and dwinkiees at the pub where we meet.
