One of our largest partners in Maryland, the team at Clifton Park Baptist Church serves more 1,000 people monthly. Their offerings include “aeroponic” vegetables -- an innovative way to boost access to fresh food!

“Every single volunteer is part of the 61 million meals we provided last year,” Keaton says.

We were thrilled to join the Food is Medicine Institute at Tufts University in talking with policymakers on Capitol Hill about our Food + Health programs and why access to nutritious food is so important for clients. Nutrition is essential to improving health and health equity.

Strengthening SNAP was among our priorities for this year's legislative session in Maryland. We applaud lawmakers for enacting a modest increase to the minimum SNAP benefit for MD seniors and look forward to continuing to advocate for raising the SNAP minimum for all residents.
