Morning lovelies 😘 Happy Sunday, and what a beautiful day it is! I have a review up today for this gorgeous historical fiction #ThePaintersDaughters . I absolutely loved this book! #BookTwitter #Historicalfiction #Bookreview
#OnlyHereOnlyNow by Tom Newlands - I came (at least partly) for the 90s nostalgia but I stayed for the unique voice and huge heart. Oh, Cora Mowat. So real and now tucked away in my heart. Highly recommend if you like slice of life fiction, with all the emotion that entails.
Sometimes people ask if it’s worth lugging a suitcase of books when I travel. YES! I just finished another brilliant novel: #OrdinaryTime by Cathy Rentzenbrink & it’s been heaven! Funny, tender, sad, marriage, love, motherhood in shades of a 21st century #BarbaraPym . Perfection!
We had the most fabulous event at Pages of Hackney last night! I loved talking Hackney history, class, motherhood, the pandemic and more with Kate Murray-Browne. Her book One Girl Began is out now and it’s so very, very good Phoenix Books
Thank you so much to everyone who came to Hexham Book Festival on Wednesday night, for all your brilliant questions and to Olivia Chapman for the insightful and thought-provoking conversation.
Close to 100 books sold, a fabulous audience filling out the Queen’s Hall. Dream author life!
Thank you Pages of Hackney for a wonderful evening with Kate Murray-Browne discussing her new Hackney-set novel One Girl Began with Marianne Levy. Before and after photos of the stock table!
