Nothing makes me want to give up on research like being a social epidemiologist and talking to people from the NIH 😪

NEWS: 3,700 University of Pennsylvania grad students have unionized with the UAW, in a landslide 1807-to-97 vote.

The union claims they 'will become the largest new private sector union in Philadelphia in over 50 years.'

California lacks sufficient shelter for its homeless population.

CoCs (community-based networks of care/services) report only 39 shelter beds for every 100 people experiencing homelessness.

Many people truly have nowhere to go.

This story is bananas. Florida charges people $50 a day for their stay in prison. The state wants this woman to pay $127,000 because she was sentenced to 7 years—even though she only served 10 months.

A perfect example of how the gov’t sets people up to fail upon release.
