With No.2 out of action for repair, and 1 and 4 halted by the heat, the diesels had their annual spotlight moment!

Slow progress continues on the railway’s extension to a new terminus -

This was Russell’s first year playing “Christmas Engine”.

He was joined by Hercules this afternoon operating shuttles between Applemore and the extension.

The loco performed flawlessly, and gave the home fleet a run for their money!
