Faculty apparently fail to understand that solidarity is our best defense. By remaining silent on the abuse of their peer, they're risking their own safety in the future, not to mention the safety of their students and community members.

University of Michigan is cutting sections of gen ed courses, reducing grad instructor positions, and paying teachers in Dearborn & Flint less because of budget concerns, but there's plenty of money for campus cops surveilling students to leave their vehicles running empty?

The deafening silence from tenured faculty across the country facilities this degree of police brutality on university campuses. This moment demands a united front. There is simply no time to cower in fear. Stand in solidarity with our students now.

Truly humbling statement from student orgs in Gaza. It should not be lost on us what it takes for those paying a heavy price in blood and martyrs for their resistance to take the effort to acknowledge American students, may we all uplift their struggle and follow their lead.

If you are a student at a new Gaza solidarity encampment, your job is now to meet people & talk about what you can do together. Where could your encampment grow to? How can you protect each other from police? What do you want to learn together? Be kind and generous. One struggle.
