Everyone wins when everyone is connected. The ACP continues to create new pathways towards economic opportunity all across the country. Unfortunately, without congressional action, the ACP is on the brink of shutting down due to lack of funding. #ExtendACP
When universal service sustainability is at risk & saving ACP is such a priority, it’s hard to see how tying 2 hands behind 1’s back on USF contribution reform helps. NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association urges The FCC not to take tools out of its own toolkit to solve these problems. ntca.org/sites/default/…
Another non-transparent attempt to stop the inevitable progress of community broadband has failed, this time in New York State. But to paraphrase Arnold Schwarzenegger, 'they'll be back.' Here is AAPB (American Association of Public Broadband)'s statement: aapb.us/post/statement…
Appreciate the focus on #ACP as NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association providers want to ensure their consumers can access #broadband but honestly baffled by The FCC move to forebear on USF contributions given this being the first & longest running affordability program for rural Americans codified in 1996.
The biggest companies in sports media (which own 80% of this content market) are trying to form a joint venture that could lead to higher prices and fewer choices for fans.
Rep. Nadler and I want answers from Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and Fox about this proposed media conglomerate.
The dominant players in sports media—Disney, FOX, and Warner Bros—plan to roll out a joint streaming venture this fall. Joaquin Castro and I are seeking more information to make sure this consolidation does not result in higher prices and fewer choices for consumers.
.AAPB (American Association of Public Broadband) promotes publicly-owned broadband, but we recognize that some communities might choose otherwise. We just want communities and their leaders to be able to free to choose what's best for their residents.
