It's #Fire #Prevention Week!

This year’s campaign, “Learn the Sounds of Fire #Safety !”, works to educate everyone about the different sounds made by smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms. Knowing what to do when an alarm goes off will keep you and your family safe.

The 379th AEW Host Nation Coordination Cell is a key link between AUAB personnel and Qatari officials. During the Afghanistan evacuation operations, the HNCC and their Qatari counterparts were in charge of the final step in moving qualified evacuees onward to further destinations

During the recent Afghanistan evacuation, more than 58,000 people came through AUAB. The 379th EAES was critical to the mission and reunited families that had become separated during the evacuation. This video from August highlights their contributions to the historic effort!

Since AUAB became the primary transit hub for Afghanistan evacuees, the driving forces for the base to succeed in meeting the challenge were a standard of excellence, innovative tactics, and the partnership with the host nation.

Since Aug. 14, the DoD has been supporting the evacuation of qualified evacuees from Afghanistan to AUAB. The Afghanistan evacuation operation has become one of the largest airlifts in history.
