Olivia’s fantastic story was longlisted by Searchlight in our 2022 Novel Opening competition. It shone so brightly that we were not the only ones to notice it, winning the Guppy Open Submission competition and a book deal before we finished judging. Can’t wait to see it in print!

I don’t think I shared here that after arriving all the way from NZ last week I had the pleasure of finding The Grimmelings in Waterstones Glasgow & @waterstones Argyle St and Byers in Glasgow, where lovely staff (this is Lily) encouraged me to sign books for the display table. 🥰

The Grimmelings is out everywhere else in the UK around 9 May with the fabulous Guppy Books (modelled here by Hannah at Traigh Mhor Horse Trekking on the Isle of Lewis - fitting for the setting of the novel! IYKYK).
