🎉Celebrating a New Pump Station for the Caloosahatchee (C-43) Reservoir!🎉

Another #Everglades project reaches a major milestone as we cut the ribbon on this new pump station! The station contains 4 pumps, and each can move 170,000 gallons of water a minute.

The 'lost summers' of 2013, 2016 and 2018 have been a recurring nightmare. There's been significant progress since then, but now it's time to step up even more and prioritize the completion of critical restoration projects like the EAA Reservoir.

Today, I signed an executive order to build on our historic conservation efforts by:
- Securing $3.5 billion for Everglades and water resources
- Restoring the Indian River Lagoon
- Strengthening coastal resiliency
- Conserving land for future generations

Although we’ve been dealing with two hurricanes recently, we must never forget our job in the Everglades is not done. Great progress has been made, but still more to do.

Record breaking action for Everglades restoration and water quality everywhere in Florida including places such as the Indian River Lagoon.
But we must keep investing in our waters.
