It is with deep regret that we learnt the passing of Zebib Kavuma ( Zebib Kavuma). She was a remarkable & professional woman. She led the iamtheCODE- Enabling Girls Coders by 2030 #SDGs program in Kenya 🇰🇪 UN Women Africa was dedicated to seeing girls from marginalised communities succeed. May she rest in peace 💙🤍♥️

While on a trip to Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, I met this beautiful and very shy Turkana girl.

We had brilliant conversations, she is such a gracious girl full of hopes, smiles and one of her dreams is visiting Uganda.

Most importantly, she want wars to end so the Refugees

We mourn the loss of Ms. Zebib Kavuma, ESARO Deputy Regional Director. A steadfast champion for gender equality, her work advanced the rights of women and girls in Africa. Her kindness and passion left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Our hearts are with her family. MHSRIP!
