Two Tunnels Greenway – Devonshire Tunnel Flooding

Following an on-site inspection it has unfortunately been required to close the tunnel again due to the raised water level at the northern portal.

Monitoring will continue with a view to re-opening as a soon a considered safe.

The northern portal water level is now low. The tunnel is open but please take care.
The water level continues to be monitored and it may be necessary to close the tunnel again pending longer-term remedial works by B&NES Council.

There'll be a further and more extensive daytime closure in Lyncombe Vale from 11th March for a week as the council removes diseased Ash trees.

Hit by a driver when cycling to work this morning. Odd tone on the incident report form. I'm a 'cyclist', but they were 'car', not 'driver'.

Bit of good news for us. We received ARB Prescription for our BA (Hons) Architecture programmes. Looking forward to seeing our first Part 1 graduates in summer 2025

🚫Upcoming closure🚫

A stretch of #NationalCycleNetwork Route 244, #BathTwoTunnels , will be closed from Hiscocks Drive to Bloomfield Open Space on Mon 4 and Tues 5 March for maintenance works. Alternative route via Maple Grove. Devonshire Tunnel is closed until further notice.

Due to rising water levels, Devonshire Tunnel on #BathTwoTunnels Circuit is closing from this afternoon. Recent rainfall has overwhelmed the drainage again.

We’ll be regularly inspecting the water levels to determine when it's safe to reopen.
