2) Thankfully the way home was less eventful. I headed back via some of the #nationalcyclenetwork and the #transpenninetrail . Much more civilised and relaxed. Maybe I’ll #commutebybike more often….just not so much on roads.

A cold day for some #sustrans volunteering but #nationalcyclenetwork route 21 is all the better for it!

The passing of Eileen Sheridan is very sad. She'll be remembered for re-writing all 21 British women’s road cycling records - most notably Land’s End to John O’Groats in 1954. Recently chosen by local people, her figure on the #NationalCycleNetwork shows the regard she's held in.
