XDB500 🇬🇧🇯🇲🥩🥑🏋️‍♂️ Michael Mosley Nayiri Mississian The current guidelines result in metabolic constipation, which is the suppression of fat burning and ketone production. It needs large amounts of insulin so it is tricky to fast. I am on low insulin and metabolically flexible. I am in ketosis and regularly fast no problem.

Reducing treatment options for this difficult condition is a huge backward step and people really do suffer. Alison I do hope your campaign succeeds.

What's your superpower?
The first picture isn't a 'before' shot, but one snapped roughly three months into my keto journey. By then, the brain fog had lifted, and I felt like I could conquer the world. Despite the skeptics telling me this was unsustainable, I persisted.

Interesting fact from my essay on '100 Year History of 1 Diabetes Management)

In 1963, Dr. Arnold Kadish developed an insulin pump that was portable in a backpack and was roughly the size of today's microwave oven.

How fortunate we are with our CGMs, Pumps & Pens today!

‘Normal’ care restricts the body to a single fuel. This person has adjusted their diet to access the vast stores of fat that are denied by ‘normal’ care. 100 years of insulin and its therapeutic benefit is still misunderstood.

I look forward to helping deliver future courses with you Ian. You're helping many T1s achieve normal glucose in a safe, compassionate, and supportive way.

English T1 population: 87% have HbA1c > 48mmol/l (last audit).

I would expect people attending course to end up in the 30s

Dr Rebecca Hiscutt, PhD Combe Grove Thank you. The course was delivered by lived-experience T1 trained to a high standard. My medical skills and advice were never needed. The clients left the course equally trained up to a high level of knowledge. They will be supported for a year.
