Both political extremes have lost their damn minds.

A founder asked me for advice going into their YC interview and I think these are basically applicable for any investor pitch:

- why is your market a good one?
- why are you as founders impressive + well matched for the problem?
- speak plainly / no marketing buzzwords

For a large percentage of recent grads, the right first move in tech is to get a job (any job) at the very best company you can.

You learn what great looks like, bootstrap a strong network, and immediately get associated with the brand (e.g. 'ex-Stripe', 'ex-OpenAI') quickly.

This discourse about whether or not to pitch a VC associate is a perfect example of a situation where social media is inherently designed to be a poor representation of reality.

Neither extreme is accurate.

Obviously if you have the founding GP of the firm coming to your office…
