If a journalist is shot & killed in front of multiple journalists who all say there were no armed Palestinians present, just Israeli forces who fired at them, than that is enough. Enough for journalists & headline writers to not mention “clashes”. Rest in Power Shireen Abu Akleh.

Yesterday was Diana’s 5th birthday. She spent it in a bunker beneath her bombed out apartment building. The sounds of shelling were in the distance. Her cake was a mandarin orange, her present a Kinder egg. She smiled and sang and then cried. This is life on the southern front.

Yet another journalist was assassinated in Mexico. Margarito Martínez was a freelance photojournalist who was shot dead in front of his house today in Tijuana. Journo José Luis Gamboa was murdered in Veracruz just a few days ago.The calendar year changes but the murders continue.
