This Sunday we welcome back Fr Jon Fox, as our visiting preacher for our 10am Parish Eucharist. Fr Jon was on placement with us during his training, and is now curate at All Saints, Upper Norwood. Please pray for him as he prepares to be ordained priest this summer.

Maundy Thursday 2024. I'll remember singing, 'Sweet Sacrament divine - ark from the ocean's roar' as a storm roared outside, & rattled the doors.
I'm sure there's a sermon in there. Here at the altar of repose is the calm in the storm & the calm before the storm of Good Friday.

Full House for our Bible study this morning. We're spending 10 weeks exploring the meaning of the Cross, looking at passages from scripture, hymns and art.
Today we explored the Passover sacrifice and Lamb of God. We meet after our 10am Wednesday Eucharist.

Left home at 8am for St Thomas’ hospital and got home at 8pm. Appointment for CT SCAN of my aorta. Because of my medical history, needed controlled hydration therapy by Intravenous infusion. Following the CT Scan, I again had IV fluids to flush the dye from my system. Long day 🙏🏽

8 years ago today, I was made priest-in-charge of St Luke, Woodside.
8 years is hardly a ‘big’ anniversary, but it’s made me thoughtful this year because the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, and all those disruptions we did not anticipate, coincided with my halfway point.

My already dodgy heart skipped a beat when I saw this ‘creature’ under the table this morning. Smiled when I realised that it was one of a set of three that I was given when we visited Chichester Cathedral in September! It obviously got separated from the others! 😂😄😂
