Just read the news of Annelies Kusters promotion to (full) professor. Annelies is the first deaf professor in the UK in the field of Deaf Studies and sign language research. So very well-deserved! Congratulations!

Still thinking about Sami Schalk 's point that sensory disabilities are over represented in dis studies. I have always felt maybe over represented in theory but marginalized in community. Thinking especially about pushback against accomodations ive experienced.
