This year on April 28th is the 40th anniversary Day of Mourning. Labour recognizes it as the 40th anniversary, because 40 years ago, the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) passed the Day of Mourning resolution at their convention (1984).

The issue is that farmers across this province are also employers, having built their businesses over generations, if municipalities have what they feel is a better use for these farms, they should deal with farmers like the business people they are, not pawns.
