The spirit of international cooperation in Antarctica is alive and well, with members of Australia's Traverse team dropping in to visit the French/Italian Concordia station on their way back from Little Dome C.

🚜 Are we there yet? Our tractor traverse team for the Million Year Ice Core project is halfway home. Only another 600 km to go to reach Casey station! With views like this, it’s nice to have time to enjoy the scenery.

How did our traverse travel the 1200 km from Casey to Little Dome C? With the help of some cool people and even cooler machines.

The team included plant operators and diesel mechanics who made sure the traverse train made it to Little Dome C safely.

After 17 days covering nearly 1200km across Antarctica, the antarctica.gov.au Traverse Team have arrived at Little Dome C to deliver cargo and infrastructure that will support world-leading Australian science with Million Year Ice Core 🇦🇺

After a 17-day journey of over 1100km the antarctica.gov.au MYIC traverse team arrived Little Dome C today. Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼
