At $2,400 a *YEAR*, I cannot express how disappointed I am by the federal budget and the #CDB announcement. This will NOT lift pwds out of poverty. Yes, there are other measures that might be helping, but $2,400 a year is going to keep a LOT of people in extreme poverty.

After 4 years, they finally propose a budget that will still leave disabled people in deep legislated poverty to be coerced by MAID.

We waited 1300 days to learn the #CanadaDisabilityBenefit which was SUPPOSED to lift disabled Cdns out of poverty & offset the coercion of #MAiD will only be $200 month, starting July 2025. Doesn't even offset housing/food cost increases while waiting. The #eugenics IS the point.

So: the once-in-a-generation, groundbreaking Canada Disability Benefit legislation to assist persons with disabilities amounts to $200 per month. This legislation was unanimously supported by all parties and most Canadians. A gigantic failure.

Seriously string along disabled people about this Canada Disability Benefit THEN they make it a maximum of $200 per month and the person must be approved for the Disability Tax Credit to be eligible... And it won't start paying out til June/July 2025.

It's shameful.
