In this new article, we assess the effects of an intervention developed by the Danish Health Authority, Sundhedsstyrelsen, to promote resistance against misinformation during the pandemic.

The intervention indeed worked &, in particular, by boosting a sense of efficacy in users.

Interested in the effect of cross-class exposure on attitudes toward redistribution?

In a new paper in British Jnl Poli Sci, Kim Sønderskov, Peter Thisted Dinesen, and I find that local exposure to poor individuals reduces support for redistribution among the well-off.

@JayVanBavel, Kareena del Rosario and I go inside the 'Funhouse Mirror Factory' of Social Media to explain how SM is distorting our perception of social norms-- by making moderate opinions practically invisible and over-representing the most extreme voices.

Is the YouTube algorithm radicalizing us?

Our new PNAS paper says: probably not!

But why should you trust this paper rather than other papers or reports saying otherwise?

Because we came up with a way to disentangle the causal effect of the algorithm.

🚨New paper alert🚨

You may think online discussions about politics in the West are terrible, but we show that in undemocratic and unequal countries they're even worse.

We also replicate our prior findings that jerks are (status-driven) jerks in all 30 countries.

Fascinating new 📰by Franziska Pradel Jan Zilinsky Spyros Kosmidis Yannis Theocharis reaches same conclusion as my paper on public opinion on hate speech laws (doi.org/10.31234/osf.i…).

These studies suggest public demand for content moderation is ⬇️⬇️ than previously thought
