Atmospheric pressure plummeting now in Naples as Ian's extreme low pressure center nears southwest Florida. Before radar & satellite, many used a storm glass to tell of an approaching hurricane. By the time water was dripping out of the spout, it was almost too late to prepare.

Currently Miami and Fort Lauderdale are dry 80° with a breeze. Looks challenging for Fort Myers through Tampa. No flooding locally here. Thank you for everyone reaching out.
