Last night, the Maryland General Assembly adjourned sine die, and although we didn't get all of what we wanted, this session was one of the most productive for housing and transportation policy that we've had in a long time. A thread on some of the notable bills:

The Housing Expansion & Affordability Act has passed the Maryland General Assembly! Thank you to Gov. Wes Moore, Secretary Jake Day, Marc Korman, Vaughn Stewart, dan reed 🦀🏳️‍🌈🇬🇾👋🏾, Tom Coale, & many others who were instrumental in its passage.

Maryland must take big steps to address our housing shortage and rising housing costs all over the state (& in District 17 especially Senator Cheryl C. Kagan!). It's time to pass the Housing Expansion and Affordability Act!

It continues to be a big day for pro-housing policy on the east coast! Maryland HB 538 (aka Moore Housing) passed the State House by a big vote of 98 to 36.

Among other things, HB 538 would significantly expand home options near transit.
