Did you know the Vatican has an astronomer? Br. Guy Consolmagno has a Masters and Ph.D. in Planetary Sciences, and lectured at Harvard and MIT. Here is his response when I asked him how a man of science could also be a man of God:

ST II-II.64.6: 'If we consider a man in himself, it is unlawful to kill any man, since in every man though he be sinful, we ought to love the nature which God has made... which is destroyed by slaying him. ...the slaying of a sinner becomes lawful in relation to the common good.'

We began streaming Mass during the pandemic & I recall visiting a young woman dying of cancer who was watching Mass as I entered the house. She was in tears expressing gratitude for the ability to worship w her parish during her illness. So that's a reason why we keep doing it

When Oscar Romero became archbishop he moved into a tiny room at a cancer hospital, where he’d nightly hear the cries of patients. & it was here that he was martyred. A shepherd w the smell of the sheep.
